Demolished planning permission for solar panels
As of today, August 1st 2018, it is OK to mount solar panels that follow the shape of the building, without having to apply for a planning permission in Sweden.
In the video below you can see Svea Solar's CEO, Erik Martinson, being interviewed by SVT Rapport about the solar panel boom and the demolished planning permit requirement for solar panels.
As part of the effort to simplify the planning permit regulation system and thereby increase housing construction, the government proposed the legislative amendment that does not require planning permits to mount solar panels that follow the shape of the building within a detailed planned area. The law came into force on August 1, 2018 and is also announced as part of the budget bill for 2018.
