Svea Solar recruits another top candidate

Svea Solar, one of Europe's fastest growing cleantech companies, is growing at a record pace. Svea Solar has a clear ambition to become the leader within solar power in Europe and drive the energy transition. The latest top recruit is Joakim Grönvall, who takes over as global Chief Product Officer (CPO).

Joakim joins Svea Solar as CPO and leaves a job as Head of Product of the digital energy company Greenely. He has a background as an entrepreneur and developer where, among other things, he founded, the largest Russian search service for contact information, and the travel service Triple. Joakim gets a central role in Svea Solar's enormous growth journey and the company's opportunities to accelerate the green energy transition in Europe.

It's always fun to welcome a top candidate like Joakim. We have several exciting products and services in the works to further optimize our customers' energy consumption and relieve the strained electricity grid. Here, Joakim and his team will have an important role, says Erik Martinson CEO and co-founder of Svea Solar.

As CPO, Joakim Grönvall will assume responsibility for Svea Solar's product and offer development, all to speed up and facilitate the shift to solar power.

When I got the offer from Svea Solar, I simply couldn't turn it down. Being able to work with both renewable energy and an exciting product portfolio is a perfect fit for me. Together with Svea Solar's customers, we are phasing out fossil energy and helping our customers become more self-sufficient on solar power, says Joakim Grönvall.

Towards target of 5,000 employees

Svea Solar has almost 1,000 employees in Europe, with the ambition to be 5,000 people by 2025.

We are thrilled to welcome Joakim to Svea Solar. A recruitment like this proves that top talent is drawn to our industry. We are constantly looking for strong leaders because we know that leadership is crucial for continued growth and to be able to retain and attract talent, says Hanna Mannberg CHRO at Svea Solar.

Joakim Grönvall takes up his position towards the end of August.
