Great interest in Germany as Svea Solar launches balcony solar panel
Svea Solar, in collaboration with its partner IKEA Germany, is launching a modular balcony power plant and battery. The solution is designed to make it easier than ever for households and small businesses to produce their own electricity, even without access to their own roof.
“Interest has been record-breaking, with over 15,000 visits to Svea Solar's German website in just the first two days and extensive attention in German media. Naturally, this is very exciting, especially as it coincides with our five-year anniversary in the German market”, says Mattias Ringqvist, CEO of Svea Solar.
“The system is powerful and ready to use immediately without complicated installation”, says Taner Karacan, Svea Solar's Germany manager, and continues: “For IKEA and Svea Solar, it is important to offer solutions for all mounting situations: whether it is a balcony, facade, or flat roof.”
The system is ready to use immediately, can be expanded with energy storage, and is compatible with solar panels, power stations, and smart plug-in solutions. Even larger household appliances can be operated independently of the power grid. The balcony power plant is now available on both Svea Solar's and IKEA's German websites.
Svea Solar and IKEA have been collaborating since 2019 and have continuously expanded their offerings over these five years. Solar panels, heat pumps, batteries, electric car chargers, and now balcony power plants are included in the joint offering.
