Svea Solar is scaling up in Italy – powered by IKEA
Svea Solar is one of Europe’s fastest-growing companies and one of the leading actors within solar in Europe. The company entered Italy, as its sixth market, half a year ago. Now Svea Solar can reveal an extended partnership with IKEA as a partner to IKEA Italy. As Italy is one of the biggest markets for residential solar in Europe with a big need for renewable energy, the growth predictions are high.
“We are thrilled to enter Italy. This is in line with our growth strategy and our long-term goal of being the main solar provider in Europe. Europe needs to become self-sufficient in energy, and solar power is key to making that happen fast. We are happy to extend our cooperation with IKEA to a fifth market”, says Erik Martinson, co-founder and CEO of Svea Solar.
The focus for Svea Solar is the residential market where the partnership with IKEA gives Svea Solar a kickstart. Svea Solar’s products and services, called SOLSTRÅLE, are available in IKEA stores and online.
Svea Solar Italy is managed by Roberto Colombo, who has several years of experience in the solar industry in Italy and other European countries, formerly as Interim Managing Director of Svea Solar Germany. The growth plans for Italy are ambitious: we aim to capture a significant market share within the residential solar sector since Roberto Colombo’s expertise in the solar industry, coupled with the partnership with Ikea, positions Svea Solar strongly to capitalize on Italy's growing demand for renewable energy solutions.

Svea Solar’s Italian office opened on September 1st in Milan and its products and services are available in all of Italy.
